Our vacation home in Nova Scotia accommodates a maximum of 6 guests. We think it is ideal for a couple or a small family with kids. If you are traveling with smaller kids, please be aware that the house is located direct on a steep bank to the ocean and there is no fence around the property. Stairs inside and outside are not childproof and have no babygates.
Our minimum stay is 7 nights.
We have 3 bedrooms upstairs with 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and 2 twin beds, as well as a full bathroom with bathtub & shower. On the first floor there is an open-concept living room, dining room and a large fully equipped kitchen. The living area of the house is about 1500 sqft.
The house is equipped with TV, Wireless Internet, essentials (towels/extra towels for the beach, bed sheets (european bedding), soap, toilet paper and a hair dryer), outdoor BBQ, fully equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Water Kettle, Coffee Maker (the kind where you have to put grounded coffee in the filter, the filter is reusable so you do not have to buy paper-filters), Fridge with freezer unit and a cooking range. If you want to do your laundry, you will find
a laundromat in Port Hawkesbury which is about 25 minutes away from the Beardmans - we have no washing machine / dryer in the house. You could also find the bigger groceries stores, Canadian Tire, Walmart and so on in Port Hawkesbury.
Smoking and pets are not allowed in the house. Please see our house rules.
The house sits elevated close by the ocean and is surrounded by wildflowers, trees and a beautiful garden. The 5 acre property offers lots of undisturbed privacy.
