Celtic Colours in Cape Breton

All over Cape Breton Island there are concerts and Workshops - inspired by generations of Scottish, Irish and French Settlers and by the Aboriginal Mi'kmaq people - Celtic Colours are running from October 9th to October 19th in 2020. Held at the most spectacular season of the year when all leaves in Nova Scotia are turning their colour into the most amazing vibrant colours of the fall season. Reds and yellows and oranges make your travels around Cape Breton Island and its magnificent scenery even more breathtaking and enjoyable.

Since hundreds of years Celtic music and dance as well the story-telling has been nurtured and celebrated in various communities all over the Island. Celtic Colours is a celebration of this living culture. You'll have the pleasure of enjoying some of the world's best musicians, dancers and culture bearers in a variety of venues. From churches, to theatres, to community halls all over Cape Breton Island.

There are several venues close to our vacation home who are offering a variety of concerts, dances and workshops. One of the closest would be the Judique Celtic Music Interpretive Center. Also Port Hawkesbury, Baddeck, Mabou, Inverness, Port Morien, Wagmatcook First Nation, Whycocomagh and many more are close by.

The award-winning Celtic Colours International Festival will feature a total of 54 concerts in 35 Communities around Cape Breton Island.
